Bench Mat Common Point Ground Cords
Dual Wrist Strap Capabilities, Multipoint Bench Mat Grounding
- Used for grounding tabletop anti-static
mats where
wrist straps will be used.
- Provides 2 grounding plugs for wrist
straps with banana plugs.
- Constructed with a 1 meg ohm resister for
safety.
- 10 mm (3/8”) female snap connection for
mat.
- 15’ grounding cord with O ring connector
for ground.
- Mat connection snaps included (our
universal mat snap kit)
- Connect to dedicated ground or properly
grounded
electrical outlet (the center screw of an AC electrical face
plate cover works well.
In order to operate effectively all anti static table top mats
must be attached to a reliable earth ground connection.
UltraStrong common point ground cords are an integral component
- allowing easy placement (anywhere on the mat) and providing a
female 3/8 socket for subsequent attachment to the anti static
mat. To comply with industry accepted standards the wrist strap
must be attached to the same ground point as the esd mat, hence
the attached ground block contains 2 ea inputs for standard
wrist straps. This ground cord includes our
universal mat snap kit.
To achieve reliable grounding of you anti static mat the kit
must be attached securely to your mat (it must not be loose).
Simply puncture a hole in the matting material with a screw
driver, awl or punch making sure not to oversize the hole (over
sizing this hole may not let the fastener contact the conductive
inner scrim of some of the advanced 3 layer conductive mat
materials). Place the base through the underside of the mat,
select the appropriate snap (male), place above base, select the
appropriate length screw, place through snap, into base and
tighten securely. Use the washer to find tune compression.
Attach the ground cord to your snap, plug in wrist straps and
attach the ground cord to a reliable electrical ground in your
building. Each mat requires attachment to electrical ground.
Mats should not be daisy chained.

UltraStrong premium under bench ground blocks feature
inputs for 2 wrist straps (terminated in the standard
wrist strap banana jacks). These unique ground blocks
also feature 2 each 7mm "parking stations" should the
straps not be needed!
Simply bolt block onto bench, ground the opposite end of
the cord's (#10 ring terminal) to either the center
screw of an AC electrical face plate cover or as is
recommended by your ESD program Coordinator. Plug your
wrist straps banana jacks into the block and you're good
to go! Need to park it? Simply remove the strap from the
cord and park the 7mm female cord fastener on the 7mm
studs! Economical, efficient, secure, easy to use and
fully compliant to latest ANSI ESD and MIL standards!
