UltraStrong ground post and snap kits are designed for use with our anvil and setting tool. Use of this type of assembly is slightly more complicated than using our screw type fasteners but eliminates screws. Use of these fasteners allows the user to securely attach a standard 3/8 grounding lug on virtually any esd matting material (for subsequent attachment of a ground cord to the fastener). Simply mark the mat where you wish to install the snap, puncture hole in mat with our revolving punch pliers, select a post and insert post thru hole, place appropriate snap on top side of mat and tap post lightly with our post setting hardware. Revolving the punch slightly as you tap places a nice rolled radius on the post top for permanent compression. Post are supplied in 2 lengths. 1/4" and 3/8." Economical, efficient, secure, easy to use and fully compliant to latest ANSI ESD and MIL standards!

Anvil and Setting Tool

This snap set anvil and punch tool is used to provide consistent tension of the mat between the snap hardware. Unlike some punches that tear the top of the post this unit (when used properly) places a smooth rolled radius on post top. A rolled radius is much stronger than a torn jagged radius. The tool is designed for easy rotation while lightly tapping the punch. The anvil is designed to accommodate either a standard post (on one side) or a smooth button type post (on the other). Economical, consistent, efficient, secure, fairly easy to use.
