ElectraThane conductive sealant features the addition of 316 micro-spherical stainless steel in concert with conductive urethane to provide exceptional wear resistant protection and easy cleaning of ElectraGuard ESD Epoxy.  ElectraThane may also be used on standard concrete or for elimination of  nuisance static generation encountered with Garland and Stonehard standard epoxy flooring. ElectraThane is designed as a semi sacrificial coating.  ElectraThane also features excellent recoatability and (in the case of aggressive contamination) may be removed (with effort) and re-applied. ElectraThane is designed for mop on applications of 2 to 3 coats and is a perfect substrate for ElectraGlaze ESD floor finish (ElectraGlaze provides exceptional gloss and may be high speed polished to an incredible luster).

APPLICATION & MAINTENANCE

ElectraThane is recommended for applications on concrete, Stone Hard and Garland standard Epoxy and fully cured ElectraGuard ESD Epoxy (minimum curing time of ElectraGuard is 3 days at > 60 Deg F with adequate air movement) and in relative humidity conditions of < 50%. Thoroughly remove loose dirt and dust via sweeping (do not use sweeping compounds).  Remove imperfections if any (such as bubbles and splatters) from ElectraGuard via light scraping followed by vacuuming . Agitate ElectraThane sealant in container prior to use, pour into clean contaminant free bucket and mop on one thin even coat using non linting synthetic finish mops.  Allow coat to dry (depending on humidity and temperature) for 60 to 90 minutes before re-application of second coat. Two coats are recommended, three coats are optimal. ElectraThane does not readily lend itself to high speed polishing but has a good as applied luster and excellent slip resistance. For improved scuff removal properties and highest gloss top coat with 2 thin even coats of ElectraGlaze.

When used alone (without ElectraGlaze) effective recoating may be achieved in the following manner: Vacuum the floor to remove any loose dirt or dust. Wash the floor with ElectraClean to remove dirt and soil, allow to dry thoroughly. Apply thin even coats using a lint free finish mop.  Allow ElectraThane to dry for approximately 90 minutes between coats and before resumption of foot traffic. Allow to dry 24 hours prior to resumption of heavy rolling loads
