Forbo Colorex, Forbo ESD Tile flooring

Forbo Colorex ESD flooring tiles, a premier, time tested solution for static control environments and specified for some of the finest facilities in the world! United ESD is pleased to present  the webs best pricing and selection on Forbo Colorex.  Available in both static dissipative and conductive resistance ranges*(see tech tip below), these vinyl tiles provide exceptional electrical properties and years of (wax free), low  maintenance service. Colorex  is  an excellent choice for controlling ESD in clean rooms, electronic or semi-conductor manufacturing, computer rooms, repair facilities or anywhere sensitive electronics are utilized.  Forbo's resilient tightly compacted composition features permanent conductivity.  Unlike many ESD Vinyl's Forbo Colorex doesn't flake break or degrade even in the harshest of environments.  It's clean room compliant, DOP Free and offers excellent stain resistance properties.

Unique micro finishing  provides superior cleanliness

  • Low (to no) maintenance, permanent conductivity

  • High shine or low glare finish, extensive non fade colors

  • Permanent conductivity throughout entire thickness. Great Color Selection

Unlike many other ESD flooring materials Colorex doesn't depend on ambient environmental moisture to perform.  Hence,  Colorex has some of the most consistent electrical properties in the industry.  Whether your ESD Floor is new or 10 years old THIS is a material you can depend on.  And with Colorex you receive one of the strongest warranties in the industry backed by the outstanding reputation of Forbo Industries. The surface of "traditional" pressed vinyl tiles have the conductive fibers recessed below the surface of the  tile,  creating   micro-voids that trap and  accumulate dust and other insulative contaminants.  NOT SO with Colorex!  During the production process, Colorex passes through a specially designed surfacing machine that grinds and polishes each tile to assure a smooth, continuous micro-finished surface,  reducing contaminant and dust "traps" and  ensuring  the closest available contact of footwear with the conductive fibers

How to ground your new ESD Floor

* Quick Tip Number 3,287: Forbo features eight colors available in ESD conductive OR static dissipative.  General consensus in most electronic manufacturing environments shows ESD conductive flooring as preferable due to the extreme ESD sensitivity of many of today's advanced micro-components.  An ESD conductive flooring material will move the electrostatic potential to ground faster than a static dissipative esd flooring material providing a more thorough (yet still controlled) discharge.  Static dissipative ESD flooring materials are often the preferred choice when working with high voltage power supplies etc. For a great article on how to predict the results of your esd flooring in combination with esd footwear and why static conductive is now preferable over static dissipative  please visit: ESD Journal's: Procedure for the Design, Analysis and Auditing of ESD flooring/footwear systems.
